Looks Versus Character

there's this wise person saying that

"if there are 2 mugs for you to choose to drink from,

one has a pretty outlook and very delicate design

and another one is plain and boring, even has a crack on it

however, someone's puke is being poured into the pretty mug

while some bird nest drink is being poured into the ugly mug...

so which one will you choose?"

At the start, you will reach out for the pretty one, but

once you knew there's puke in it, you will

reach out for the ugly one.

Because it's the "content" that will win at the end of the day.

it is wise,

very true comparison.

and we all understand the logic behind it.

But not all of us will apply the knowledge

we understood from this story in reality.

and neither do i

we all wanted to be a better person in life,

sometimes i ponder why, as time goes by, we seem to be consumed

by this monster called reality.

it starts to get involve with your life without you noticing,

and things started to change.

Frankly speaking, we all yearn for better out look.

even the good looking ones, not good looking ones, the nerd, the queers,

all men and women...

last time when i was a nerd in secondary school, i just hope i could be a better looking girl.

so i wore contact lenses and re-bonded my hair.

i got a little attention from people here and there.

and i wanted more.

so i did more.

now i got involved with make up

definitely, i got more attention, despite good or bad

but recently i got a down fall in my confidence level

because i realize there are so many pretty ones out there,

i'm just a small little ant.

and i wanted more

i always wanted more,

and i'm always affected by every single thing you say and you do, to me.

all i can say is that i'm one of the damn victim of reality, very superficial and fake

and no one seem to be able to save me from that
