Looks Versus Character

there's this wise person saying that

"if there are 2 mugs for you to choose to drink from,

one has a pretty outlook and very delicate design

and another one is plain and boring, even has a crack on it

however, someone's puke is being poured into the pretty mug

while some bird nest drink is being poured into the ugly mug...

so which one will you choose?"

At the start, you will reach out for the pretty one, but

once you knew there's puke in it, you will

reach out for the ugly one.

Because it's the "content" that will win at the end of the day.

it is wise,

very true comparison.

and we all understand the logic behind it.

But not all of us will apply the knowledge

we understood from this story in reality.

and neither do i

we all wanted to be a better person in life,

sometimes i ponder why, as time goes by, we seem to be consumed

by this monster called reality.

it starts to get involve with your life without you noticing,

and things started to change.

Frankly speaking, we all yearn for better out look.

even the good looking ones, not good looking ones, the nerd, the queers,

all men and women...

last time when i was a nerd in secondary school, i just hope i could be a better looking girl.

so i wore contact lenses and re-bonded my hair.

i got a little attention from people here and there.

and i wanted more.

so i did more.

now i got involved with make up

definitely, i got more attention, despite good or bad

but recently i got a down fall in my confidence level

because i realize there are so many pretty ones out there,

i'm just a small little ant.

and i wanted more

i always wanted more,

and i'm always affected by every single thing you say and you do, to me.

all i can say is that i'm one of the damn victim of reality, very superficial and fake

STRANGE DREAM.
last night i got a strange dream. I dreamt that i was one of the students who got killed when i was exploring the school at night. we found out that a teacher of mine was killing female students who were vain and wanted to change their out look. As more and more students went missing along the way, me and my clique decided to explore the school and find out what's the story behind these missing cases.
We were exploring the narrow corridors with red neon lights and i happened to stumble into this room when i saw that psycho teacher cutting up a face of a dead female student. He was forming another "face" where the eyes were from student A, nose was from student B and so on. I guess he was trying to create a "perfect face" which every vain students yearned for. I was so horrfied in the dream, that i started crying. The murderer saw me and dragged me into the room..

I guess i was the next victim.

And i woke up from the dream and started telling my friends what i have dreamt of last night.

Then i woke up again, for real this time round.

It was so vivid that i still remember every single details of the dream after i woke up. Usually I don't have enough brain cells for that.

i got less fussy about my work now because i was updating my slides since week 1 till now,

there's nothing more i can update because there's no further instruction given to me.

hopefully i will pass this semester smoothly.

(: anyway, about my work, i was taught to learn how to use the microscope and look at my specimen. the microscope used is called SEM/EDX which is super chim.

i felt like a nerd standing beside it, and yet it was such

an amazing experience to look at those micro structures.

a clear surface under your naked eyes look like thousand of insects/worms

all jumbled up together under the eye of SEM.

thus, everything which seem like is it might not be what it is.

we can never judge something/a person based on their appearance, which most people, even

me find it fail to do so sometimes.

a rich man may not be respectable and noble

if you knew he have taken a thousand of lives just to make himself rich.

a poor man can be a hero, if you knew he sacrifice

his fortune for a thousand of people out there

and therefore he is poor.

For everything, we have to step back and take a look at the story behind it and

not to let our first reaction worsen things.

Our naked eye can be wrong, and what is our SEM/EDX?

it is time, patience and understanding.

Back to my cage again.

Recently people are having common test/ submitting their projects, they don't

really need to show up in school from 8.30 to 6 like me.

it's very disheartening fact to know.

so far, i'm used to fyp lifestyle. tried my best not

to whine and complain because i know if i'm out to work in future, it will be worse and

i will definitely miss moments like this in school. :)

i was on the way to school this morning, pretty lucky to catch the bus because of the

kind bus driver uncle who saw me chasing it and waited for me.

Every morning i woke up, get prepared for school, rushing for bus and etcetc, there are

always overwhelming of thoughts going through my mind.

thoughts about all things that happened to me and others, every little small things i will ponder over and over again, until these strings of thoughts got tangled into knots all over the place.

i was determined to write it down in my blog, but i ended up to be lost of any suitable words to describe all the things running in my mind.

For example, you have strike 4d suddenly, and you won 6 millions bucks.

in words, you typed " i'm so happy!!!!", but at that point of time, the happiness in you

is definitely more than what you typed.

words, are somehow a form of expressing one's feeling,

but they are never enough to express one's feeling fully.

And yet, i hoped i'm a good writer because I

have somehow forgot to express myself in all forms.

for all my life, i have always been go-with-the-flow kind of girl,

if you're my friend you will know i will never plan things, i go with things which are planned.

i'll go with anything that are planned even if i dislike it.

because having disagreement and conflict is the last thing on my mind.

As i grow up, i learnt how to reject people gently,

because i really can't bring myself do it.

What's bugging me is that my gentle rejection is mistaken as a twisted agreement.

i wonder sometimes it is really my fault to say a no with a laugh.

i felt helpless when the "no" is neglected and the laugh behind is "magnified"

and i looked that the people who have a strong personality and character,while i pondered.

a person might not started up to be stubborn and strong, it might be the reality which build up

a character with strong answers and stands without having the fear of offending someone.

it is admirable and yet scary.

Do i really have to become a person like this?

finally laid my hands on Maybeline gel eye liner, hosehbo.

i was running up and down to get the cheapest

and indeed, i really found it.

cheaper by ONE DOLLAR. -.-:

the brown ones & glittery black is 16bucks though.

However, i'm afraid i might regret buying because in the first place,

i wanted the BLACK/NO GLITTERS/NO SHINE one. so yeah, bought it :D

Hopefully it wouldn't betray my trust. hiak hiak hiak~

really have to refraining myself from over-spending.

it is always my greatest flaw ( spend spend and still spending ),

after i went through really hard-core financial crisis a few months ago,

i was bitten/slapped by reality real hard.

You know, i'm NOT from a rich family.

i don't live in a big house, i don't have money for fancy clothing's and'

i hardly have any branded bags or jewelry.

they are all out of my league seriously.

it's really hard to accept that i'm poor honestly,

since young till now i really find it hard to tell people " I've got no money".

however you will learn to accept it one day.

because whenever i see old dishwashers/cleaners working in hawkers,

they reminds me of my own parents.

and the money i'm spending at one go, might be a

few hours of washing dishes/cleaning/doing jobs that you

swear you will never do it yourself by my own parents.

my mum doesn't mind bringing her own lunch box to work

just to let me get my gel eyeliner, and she still are proud of me.

So tell me what can i complain about when she didn't even complain?

what can i whine about life when she didn't even make a sound of it?

it was what i've realized not long ago, i guess it was pretty late though.

still, i'm controlling on my spendings (:

i hope you will realize things you didn't manage to realize in the past,

whatever is it, it will never be too late to do so.

no matter what, you can lose a friend or two, can lose a boyfriend or girlfriend,

INSTANT ALERT.

this morning i was getting on bus 159 to school, as usual i was half awake that time.

so there was this girl in front of me ( whom i believe is also NYP student) getting abroad the bus too.

she gave me a fucking instant shock/fright/crazy shit whatever you name it cos

i saw a fucking HUGE lizard on her head.

it was as huge as my palm. ( for your info, my palm is around 15cm huge)

GOD DAMMIT, IT WAS FUCKING HUGE I SWEAR.

and instantly, i woke up from my dreams.

i think it was a chameleon or something, or

a lizard-look-alike tree insert who got onto her head while she was walking on the street.

i salute to her, seriously.

it was on her head when she abroad the bus, then other passengers saw and told her.

she was clearly frightened.( seriously i would have fainted if that happens to me) but

she reached out her hands and kind of like swipe it away.

i was seated far away from her cos the thought of being on the same bus with a

HUGE lizard(or chameleon) mindfucked me enough.

sometimes people asked me is it hard to be together with an army boy,

i can't really give an exact answer. because everyone is different and unique individuals.

we all have different ways of dealing things like love and life.

but for one thing that i am sure about, is you gotta be independent if your the same/or gonna be the same statue as me.

because probably you two are only meet up once a week,or two week or even a month.

less demanding, sticky is the key, and of course is the trust.

it ain't one day or two days thing, but slowly and gradually, you will learn.

i didn't start up as an ideal girlfriend.

it was pretty obvious, I've played along with all the love games I've found.

in the past, i used to describe love like your career.

the more experience you have, the better you gonna be.

and along the way, i made mistakes of how to treat one right, i sacrifice and hurt people

who were good and kind to me. definitely, i screwed up people, and nevertheless, love.

it was until recently, me and him started. i was at the midst of confusion,with guilt and uncertainty when everything started.

i was still me then, still wanting to break trust and feed my addiction of clubbing, go out secretly hoping that he wouldn't know.

it was hard for leopards to change its spots.

however, he caught me and gave me thunders/ storms/ disasters.. you name it.

and so, i backed out. still a bit of unwillingness.

but as time goes by, it became a natural thing to reject people who offer my used-to-be addiction. Reject because really, trust is hard to build, and it's crazy of me breaking it up myself.

.. and i'm amazed with myself.

anyways, as you grow older, you will learn, not by experience

but how to appreciate things that are significant to you.

and naturally,you will change unknowingly.

sometimes it's all about the person you're with,yourself and how you want things to be.

whether it's hard or not, it is your choice after-all.

HEY GUYS.

next week's gonna be the last week of my IAP

will be back to school for FYP and i'm done with

my 3 years in poly.

throughout the 3 months of IAP, i realized it wasn't that bad after all.

considered myself lucky to be posted to a

good company,people there, mates and in-charge.

Despite of all the ups and downs i have been through during this 3 months,

it's all good at the end of the day.

i'm kinda used to chiong-ing trains, coffee breaks,

slacking yet trying to act busy in the office and more now, but

there's always an ending for everything.

if you're reading this, you will know that

i have a temper. temper like volcano, i explode once in a million years and after i have done so there's no more turning back. you can forget about thinking everything will be back to the same after the storm, cos it will never be the same. i'm not a player. i have to fall in love with a person before getting into a relationship with him. its not like "oh you wanna get together? okay then. " i'm willing to do anything for the one i love, but don't cross the line. i'm not a player, i only get out of a relationship only when i think it's not worth trying for you anymore. when i try, appreciate. cos when i stop trying, we're done. i love clubs, i love alcohols, if i tried to go lesser or drink lesser because you don't like me doing so, means that you're somebody, not a nobody.

it's true that i no longer know what is love.

i was lost, in fact i AM always lost in love,

because for all my life,i started from searching with a true heart,

found one that broke mine,

losing mine, and i have been wandering around since that.

as times goes by, i'm used to wander around like a lost puppet,

i used to remind myself no matter how much you like a person,

don't go all out for them,

lecturer mr lee wai meng just passed away due to stroke or something

recently. went to his wake after our last paper.

it was really sudden.

i was studying when nyp text-ed me about the news.

may him rest in peace, my deepest condolences to his family and beloved ones.

his death gave me a reminder that always

Humans are contradicting, no doubt. I was away from singapore to attend ahma’s funeral thing at malaysia. I always hated going in, ever since i grown up. ( or maybe is ever since i knew how “corrupted” my family is, under the glamorous mask. ) There’re so many reasons for me to hate going in.

1. generation gap. i cant communicate with adults well, i think i’ve “adultphobia” long ago.

2. they hate my mum. Like volcano and hurricane both crash together. they happy, victims like me and my sis will gana only. -.-

3. compare everything. compare these compare that, everything also want to compare. like win got 100000k like that.

4. i’m singaporean. Needless to say, malaysian will think i v angmoh speaking, v hard to get near. nabei, they also dont know my angmoh is knn one.

knn. i think one full post also not enough for me to write. so anyway, i hate going in. see them. or even talk to them.

however, its always the words that are powerful.

I still can remember how the whole family sat together in the living room, discussing where to go for upcoming CNY. I was sitting among them, and all of a sudden, i felt that i’m one of them. one of the Yuens. ( whom i think are made up of crazy bad tempered people )

for the first time, i got a sense of belonging there. ( maybe i will just grow up being one of the bitches there. HAHAHA )

no doubt that this week is really REALLY gonna be a hardcore study week, but

Recently i went City Square with my sis.
we walked like almost the whole of the shopping centre but all we got were leg cramps. hahahaa, i found no heels, no shirts, no pants, nothing. at least i bought a geeky specs which i need for the making of my new specs. Cos it seem like i cant wear contact lenses for long anymore, i will get rainbow halos after that :/

anyway, we went to have Sushi King for lunch. :)

SUSHI DAY.
went to fiona's house and made sushi. it was my first time, and i think it was kinda fun :D

Firstly, you need rice, not just any kind of rice.

is japonica rice.

then of course you need bowl to mix the rice and "vinegar" together, a rolling mat, and ingredients that you wanna put them into your sushi. They can be any crap things, you dont really need to be that serious about sushi you know.

so bascially we have hotdogs, and tunaaa.

and obviously, i didnt take any pics of those things. but i took the one which plays the MOST important role in making sushi!
